Ruth M DeRose, age 85 of Toledo passed away Sunday, December 28, 200 3, in her home. She was born August 7, 1918, to Clarence and Esther (Saylo r) Kaser in Toledo. Ruth was employed with Toledo Scale for more than 20 y ears, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Ruth enjoy ed tending to her flowers and cherished time spent with her family. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Her bert S DeRose; brother, Robert Kaser; sister, Betty Beamer; sons-in-law, B ud Abbott and John Kurtz. She is survived by her loving children, Herb (Ma rilyn) DeRose, Carol Abbott and Sharon Kurtz; sister, Alice Penningt on of CA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandch ildren. The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Far ley Funeral Home, 4150 W Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral services wi ll be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Re v. Jerry S Craig. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memori al contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest OH.
