"… Ruth Judson, b. at Stratford, 27 Oct., 1664, d. at Hartford, 2 May 1744, in her 80th. yr., dau. of Capt. Joseph and Sarah (Porter) Judson. … The will of Ruth Welles, made 9 Sept. 1741, proved 4 Sept. 1744, named grandson Samuel Bewell (studying for the ministry); granddaughter Hannah Pitkin; grandson Thomas Pitkin; grandson Welles Ely; son Samuel Welles; dau. Sarah Clark; son Samuel and son-in-law John Clark, executors."
