    Ruth Embrey Tyler, 29, of Rt. 1, Delphi, died at 5:54 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 1994, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.

    She was born Oct. 4, 1964, in Moline, Ill., to David L. Embrey and Martha Laughner Embrey.

    A 1983 graduate of Delphi Community High School, Mrs. Tyler attended Ivy Tech in Lafayette. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort. She had worked in the Chemistry Building at Purdue University as a clerk/secretary for the past seven years.

    Mrs. Tyler was an assistant den mother with the Cub Scouts in Delphi, and was active in Sunshine Society, Wrestlerette's and girls' softball league while in high school. She was also active in Girl Scouts. She also enjoyed basket weaving.

    Surviving are one son, Mitchell Adam, Delphi; her parents of Rt. 2, Delphi; two sisters, Marie Embrey of Rt. 2, Delphi, and Dana K. Embrey Waye of Delphi; one brother, David L. Embrey II of Delphi; and maternal grandmother, Ruthanna Laughner of Frankfort.

    Services were held Monday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Godbey officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery, Michigantown.
