    Ruth A. Dykema Bloem, 88, Sarasota, died January 14, 2000. She was born October 23, 1911, in Chicago and came to Sarasota 13 years ago from there.
    Survivors include two daughters, Renee Brouwer of Chicago and Brenda Lynas of Bradenton; a son, Vernon of Chicago; and three grandchildren.
    A memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Palms-Presbyterian in Sarasota. Thompson and Kuenster Funeral Home of Oak Lawn, Illinois is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238.
