1980 - Mrs. Ruth Biro, 67, of 1145 Tilghman St., Allentown, died Thursday in Allentown Hospital. She was the wife of Louis Biro. She worked in the dietary department at Cedarbrook, Allentown R. 2, for three years before retiring in 1975. Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Annie (Williams) DeLong. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Allentown. Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Betty Lou, wife of Anthony Hnatow of Bath; three brothers, Warren of Allentown; C. Lindy of Center Valley R. 2, and Elwood of Slatington; four sisters, Mrs. Joyce Heifler of Lehighton, Marian, wife of Freeman Matthews of Joshua Tree, Calif., Ann Ellen, wife of Sherwood Snyder of Allentown and Gloria, wife of Austin Messinger of Slatington, and four grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Fox Funeral Home, 1002 Main St., Slatington.
