Photo believed to be Ruth Carroll (l), 2 unknown friends, ca 1910, San Saba County, Texas. Photo found in photo album that belonged to my mother, and was given to me by my father following her death.

According to family tradition, Ruth Carroll was Jewish. JDH calls her his "Jewish Gramma." This has not yet been verified. Clue: buried within 24 hrs of death (Jewish law). May have been born blind- not verified
