Ruth A. Johnson

Exeter- Ruth A. Johnson, 78, of Joslin Rd and Sherwood Forest, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, in Exeter Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born April 28, 1923, in Medford, Ma. the daughter of the late Augusta and Jennifer (Wagner) Bosselmann, and had resided in NH for 30 years (primarily Raymond, Kingston and Exeter). She also lived in Melrose, Ma about 1950s - 1960s on Grove St. Mrs. Johnson was employed by Raytheon Corp. in Andover, Lowell and Waltham, Mass. for many years. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She is survived by two sons, Mark Johnson of Auburn and Robert Johnson of North Port, Florida; four daughters, Gail Gorman of Salisbury, Mass., Lorraine Johnson of Amesbury, Mass., Nellnora Aria of Melrose, Mass., and Wendy Johnson of Exeter; 13 grandchildren: and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two husbands, William Johnson and Patrick McGuiness. There are no calling hours. In the 1920 Medford, Ma. census Ruth is stated as being 2 1/2 years old. This would have put her year of birth at 1917 as opposed to the 1923 date in her obituary. Her father, Augusta was stated as being a plumber. The 1930 census supports this information.
