About Russ Thomas
Russell James Thomas was born 28 March 1940. Russ served his country in the United States Navy and was a true patriot throughout his life.
He was the owner/operator of Club Freedom Acres, a lifestyle club in Devore, San Bernardino County, California that is one of the oldest and largest on premise lifestyle clubs in the United States. It was incorporated as Freedom Acres LLC in 1998 [Corporationwiki.com]. In 2014, Russ produced a YouTube Video providing a tour of Club FA for visitors.
In 2015, Russ expanded his footprint by opening and incorporating Freedom Acres Resort, LLC. [Corporationwiki.com], re-branding the former Deer Park Nudist Resort, which is a little over a mile south of his lifestyle club in San Bernardino, CA. Russ upgraded many of the resort's facilities and Freedom Acres Resort became a destination lifestyle resort for many like-minded adults throughout the United States to enjoy the warm Southern California weather.
Russ Thomas had multiple marriages, his last marriage was to Aree Ditsakan, who assisted Russ in running the club and resort for many years.
Russ bravely fought "stage 4" prostate cancer during the last several years of his life and was active in the Prostate Forum of Orange County, California, when he served as President in 2008 [Corporationwiki.com] and later its CEO. Russ produced a YouTube Video promoting the group's efforts in educating and providing information to prostate cancer patients. Russ was recognized for his efforts in promoting prostate cancer awareness, education and supporting the prostate cancer community in 2015 when he was awarded the "Harry Pinchot Award" from the Prostate Cancer Research Institute (PCRI).
Russ eventually succumbed to cancer when he passed away on March 23, 2021. Russ leaves his beautiful wife Aree, a brother, children and many, many friends that will remember his generosity and friendship.
