    "FORMER CLARION RESIDENT DIES

    Russell Lewis, 80, of New Castle, a former resident of Clarion, died Wednesday morning, March 25, 1981, in New Castle. Born March 14, 1901, in Cambria County, he was a son of the late Jack ‎(John)‎ and Phoebe Rearick Lewis. He was married Oct. 13, 1927, to the former Geneva Frampton, who died in July 1979. Mr. Lewis was a retired coal miner. He attended the Reidsburg Zion Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Walter ‎(Lillian)‎ Hodge and Mrs. Robert ‎(Betty)‎ Hodge of Leroy, N.Y., and Mrs. Blaine ‎(Patricia)‎ Miller of New Castle, with whom Mr. Lewis resided; four sons, James of Summerville, John of Clarion, Allen of Knox, and Donald of Springfield, S.D.; 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Della Fuston of Washington. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Gerald L. Goble Funeral Home in Clarion with the Rev. James Himes officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery in Frogtown."
