Texas State Journal of Medicine, Vol. 13, pub by Texas Medical Association, pg 373 (available at google.com/books.): Dr. Rufus Alexander Williamson, of Covington, died at his home October 26. He was born in Murray (sic) County, Tennessee, December 4, 1854, was reared near Lewlsburg, Tennessee and received his degree in medicine at Vanderbilt University in 1885. He was a member of his county and state medical societies for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, seven children, two brothers and three sisters.
