OCCUPATION: Before the Civil War he had a livery business in Atlanta, Georgia. He was an abolitionist as was orded out of Georgia at the start of the war and the confederacy confiscated his property. Had livery business (Wing & Snively) at corner of Fair St. and Public Alleys near the Neil House in Columbus, OH, 1870. 41 years as a railroad conductor, many working for the Hocking Valley Railroad. He was their oldest employee when he died. CENSUS: 1870 in Nelsonville, York Twp., Athens, OH, probably temporarily while working as a railroad conductor. This was in a rooming house.
