Owned home at Campo, CA Letter sent to one of his sisters "Feb 23, 1910 Dear Sister and all. I just received your card. Was sorry to learn that Minnie was dead. Yet I believe she is better off than we are. her troubles is over. This is not unexpected to me. I knew this would be soon, when I saw her last. I could tell you more about these things, but it would only worry you. Be ever true to all is best. My trip, I left Leipsic Ohio, April 10, 1909. Went to Lima, two days, to Kenton two weeks, then to Chardin two weeks, then back to Kenton overnight, thence to Columbus, Ohio. Then to Dayton, Ohio. Then to St Louis five days. Then to Denver, Colorado, then Boulder, there five months. Four days in the mountains. Then to Delhart, Texas. Then eight weeks then to San Diego. This is the only place I found that I liked. Bought here 3 lots. Building a two thousand dollar house. I expect to finish March 10. So you see I have been going some. I was to the (?Afen) Beach Sunday. I had a good time. I saw over 2 hundred belles, fourteen different kinds. I saw fish as long as I am. They would make a good breakfast, wouldn't they? I will close hoping to hear from you soon and all the rest. I send you my picture. Good bye. R.R.Redding"
