Ruey was on the 1910 census in Wood County, WV with her husband Matthew McCune, but by the 1920 census, he was in Beaver Co, PA with a new wife, Anna Cline. When Ruey married John Thomas she had gone back to her maiden name of Jones.

Obit found on www.lindapages.com/: "Calhoun Chronicle" (Obituary from Dec. 9, 1948) RHUIE JACKSON Rhuie Jackson, 56, died at the home of Creed Brooks of Big Bend on Monday. She was the daughter of the late Gusta Jones Rogers. Surviving are one daughter, Ruth Pitts of Caldwell, Ohio; one half-sister, Mary Cain Bartlett of Ohio; and one brother, address unknown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Jackson. Services were held at Norman Ridge with Rev. M.E. Burns officiating. Burial was in Norman Ridge Cemetery.

Note that this obit has the wrong burial location and the spelling of her name is not how she spelled it. She is buried in Hunt Cemetery, Calhoun County, WV.
