The Salina (KS) Journal, Aug. 14, 2004: Ruby E. Tullis Boyer VALLEY FALLS -- Ruby E. Tullis Boyer, 82, Valley Falls, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004. Mrs. Boyer was born Ruby E. Wright on Nov. 26, 1921, in Willow Springs, Mo. She and her first husband farmed, owned a custom harvesting business for 26 years and owned and operated Tullis Retail Liquor Store, Valley Falls. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Tullis, in 1978; and her second husband, Ralph Boyer, in 1995. Survivors include three sons, James Tullis of Salina, David Tullis of Kelseyville, Calif., and Jerry Tullis of Valley Falls; a brother, Wade Wright of Eureka, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home, 810 Broadway, Valley Falls 66088. Private burial will be in Valley Falls Cemetery.
