GRAHAM — Mr. Roy Lofton Williams, 65, of 1987 Hilton Road, Burlington, died Thursday, August 24, 2006, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after two weeks of critical illness.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late George Willis Williams and Josie Graves Williams. He was a farmer, and a member of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Mary W. Hodgin, Jane W. Wilson, and Marie W. Dodson, all of Graham; and two brothers, Harvey M. Williams and G. Dewey Williams, both of Graham.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Carroll Williams.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2006, at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church cemetery by the Rev. Jimmy Wooten.

The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 5 until 7 this evening, and at other times at the home of Mary Hodgin, 4858 Preacher Holmes Road, Graham.
