Roy Kissling

Fostoria -- Roy C Kissling, 88, formerly of East Fremont St, Fostoria, di ed at 4:37 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2002 at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born Oct. 9, 1914 in Sandusky CO to Arthur and Edith (Zimmerman) Ki ssling. He married Doryce J Humbert on Oct. 10, 1936 in Bettsville, and s he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Anita) Meili, Tiffin; and Mr s. Joe (Eva Lynn) Fruchey, Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and seven grea t-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Donald; a sister, Ethel Grimes; and t wo brothers, Wilfred and Raymond.

Mr. Kissling retired in 1979 as the owner and operator of Roy's Shoe Repa ir in Fostoria after more than 40 years.

He was a 1932 graduate of Jackson High School in Amsden.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and VFW Championship Ban d, where he played the clarinet, both in Fostoria; and was past mast er of Lodge 288 F&AM, past illustrious master of Council 90 and past hi gh priest of Chapter 60, all in Fostoria.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Harrold-Floriana Funer al Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Larry Miracle officiating. Burial will be in F ountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and an hour before servic es Thursday at the funeral home, where a Masonic memorial service wi ll be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.
