PLEASANT GARDEN — Mr. Roy Craven Dick, 94, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at Clapp's Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, at Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel. Interment will follow at Alamance Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Rev. G. Melvin Palmer and Rev. John Dieterly will officiate.

Mr. Dick was born in Guilford Co., on February 28, 1913, to the late Adger and Onie Heath Dick. He retired as a maintenance supervisor with the Dept. of Transportation and was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.

Mr. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Allen Dick; brothers, Paul Dick, Pearce Dick and George Dick.

Surviving are his sons, Allen Dick and wife, Kathy of Jamestown, Eddie Dick and wife, Lou Ann of Austin, Texas; sisters, Lucille Allred, Margaret Garner, Nancy Branson; brother, David Dick; grandchildren, Michelle Patterson and husband, David, Shannon Dick, Justin Dick; great grandchild, Miller Patterson; nieces and nephews; close friend, Mildred O'Brien.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7 p.m. tonight at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home in Pleasant Garden.
