ROY C. DEAL Meyersdale Republican, March 28, 1974

   Roy C. Deal, 89, of Meyersdale, died March 23, 1974, in Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 26, 1884, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late William and Mary Alice (Cook) Deal.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Emma Hostetler, in 1963.  For the past 11 years he has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. James Hostetler.  Mr. Deal had been an employee of Chrysler Corporation in Detroit for 30 years.  He also had been employed by the B and O for five years. Surviving are two nieces and three nephews, Mrs. Grant Atwell, Meyersdale; Mrs. Jean Quilici, El Paso, Texas; Roy Deal of Pineville;  Thomas Deal, San Francisco; and James Deal, of Kewanee, Ill. Funeral service was held Monday afternoon in Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with Rev. John Glick officiating.  Interment in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
