She was born on March 17, 1930 in Buckhannon, W.Va., the daughter of the l
ate George Washington Lantz and Madge Jane Linger Lantz.
She was a retired Nurses Aid for Dr. McElroy Hospital and Nursing Home, Fo
llansbee, W.Va. for fifteen years.
She was a Protestant.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rog
er Nelson Plants on November 29, 1985; one daughter, Marguerite Holden; fo
ur brothers, Arther Lantz, Carl Lantz, Golf Tomey Jr. and Richard Lantz; t
wo sisters, Imojean Lucas and Emojean Regeter; two grandsons, Jay Holde
n, Jr., Mark Vanderbush and one step-grandson, Roger Dale Plants, Jr.
Surviving are three sons,James Holden and his wife, Audrey, Isaac Hold
en and his wife, Tanya and Charles Holden all of Wellsburg, W.Va.; two ste
psons, Roger Plants and his wife, Sandy, of Wellsburg, Ralph "Butch" Plan
ts and his wife, Mary, of Beech Bottom, W.Va.; three daughters, Betty Vand
erbush of Follansbee, Mary Wilt and her companion, Loman Edgell of Wellsbu
rg, Martha Proffit of Wellsburg; three brothers, Fred Tomey of Buckhanno
n, Doyle Lantz and his wife Weevley of Buckhannon, George Lantz and his wi
fe Barbara of Cyntiana, Kentucky; one sister, Dana Jodlowski of Chicago, I
L.; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and her caregiver Alisha Ri
chards.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 4, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.
m. at the Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles Street, Wellsburg, WV. Funer
al services will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, with the Rev. Marvin E. Pla
tter of Stone Chapel Church in Wellsburg, W.Va., officiating.
Interment in Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, W.Va.
