Mrs. Rosetta Harter, 79, of Farmer City, former Piatt County resident, died Monday, June 9, 1947 at Brokaw Hospital, Normal, where she had been a patient since June 2. She had been ill several months. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Stensel Funeral Home, Farmer City, with Rev. Fred R. Harrold in charge. Burial was in Maple Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Harter, daughter of George and Mary Thomas, was born January 3, 1868 in Piatt County. She was married to Henry Harter October 2, 1895 in Winfield KS. They had lived at Farmer City for 52 years.
She leaves her husband and several nephews and nieces, including Mrs. Frank F. Miner of Monticello.
