Rosemary A. (Cralley) Shopsky, 82, of Trauger, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at Greensburg Care Center, Hempfield Township, following a prolonged illness of Alzheimer's disease and its complications. She was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Indianapolis, Ind., a daughter of the late Neal and Bertha (Kraut) Cralley. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in South Side, Indianapolis, where she attended school from kindergarten through high school. As an adult, she celebrated the blessed sacrament of matrimony in her revered Sacred Heart Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved grandson, Aaron Rose, and two brothers, Orlando and Francis Cralley. She is survived by her endeared husband of 49 years, Harvey Shopsky; three daughters, Susan Kopcho and husband, Mark, of Mechanicsburg, Cynthia Rose and husband, Louis, of Mt. Pleasant, and Laura Mastrorocco and husband, Vincent, of Blairsville; seven grandchildren, Sara and Ian Kopcho, Emily Rose and Michael, Katelynn, Anthony and Anna Mastrorocco; her sister, Hilda Cralley, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. Rosemary's life was her family, which she enjoyed immensely. In her relaxing hours she loved to read, work crossword puzzles and other word games until dementia and Alzheimer's disease robbed her of this pleasure. Rosemary will be sadly missed by her husband and family. Their consolation dwells in their faith that she will be home with her parents and siblings, for whom she has cried out during the past couple years. Friends will be received at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 10:20 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florian Catholic Church, United, Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William C. McGuirk as celebrant. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
