Per the 1861 CAN Census, Ontario (Artemesia Twp, Grey Co), her name was Roselia “Wilson.” This contradicts the name mentioned in Barnard Lee’s will, in which she was referred to as Roselia Adams.

1863 Grey county Marriage Registers of ON, Canada 1858-1869, V. 33, Dec 23, 1863, “William B. Lee(?) 50 residing in Artemesia, born Niagara, son of Peter and Mary Lee to Rocilla Wilson 28, residing in Artemesia, born Ithaca, USA, daughter of Lorenzo and Margaret Willson. Witness, James Handy of Artemesia.”

1895 Doc No. 5393, dtd 20 May 1895, Roselia Bernard Adams, executrix of the estate of William Barnard Lee, sold Seventh Street property to Elizabeth Fowler (wife of Thomas Fowler) for $150.00.

1905 Cheboygan Democrat, August 4, 1905, “LICENSED TO WED Lewis W. Riggs, 71, Inverness; Rosalie Lee, 70, Cheboygan.

1905 State of MI Marriage Certificate State File No. 1-347, Record no. 965, Lewis W. Riggs married Rocelia Adams on August 2, 1905 in Cheboygan, MI. They were married by H.J. Johnson, clergyman, and it was filed July 6, 1905. Lewis was 71, b. Canada, resided in Inverness Twp, had been married once before, and his parents were Cyrus Riggs and Elia Squirer. Rocelia was 70, b. New York, had been married twice before, resided in Cheboygan and her parents were Aaron Adams and Polly Bartley.

1910 Per Pat Jahn’s Newspaper Index (www.rootsweb.com/~micheboy/pjnprig.htm), Mr. Lewis w. Riggs (b. 1834) married Roselia Adams Lee (b. 1835) on 8/5/1905 in Cheboygan.

1914 Per William Lee Jr’s Death Cert, her maiden name was Rocelia Adams and she was born in Fulton, NY. There is a Fulton County, NY and a Fulton city, located in Oswego County, NY. Not sure which they meant. Fulton County was formed in 1838, Roselia was b. abt 1835.

1920 US Census (Michigan, Genesee, Flint), she is listed as Rocelia Riggs, 84, widow, b. NY, both parents b. NY. She was living with her daughter-in-law Bessie Lee (also widow) and her children.
