E-mail from a Krusemark descendant: "Hi! I have Rose C. Krusemark Hawke, born 15 June, 1889, Bolan, Worth Co., Iowa to Charles Krusemark and Christine Richmeller. Rose was the first wife of James Thomas Hawke, Jr. and married 26 Nov., 1907 at the Methodist Episcopal Parsonage, Franklin, Iowa. She was the mother of 5 children: Doris S., b. 1909; Dallas J., b. 1910; Melvin B., b. 1912; Arlene B., b. 1917 and Maxine P., b. 1920. Rose died on Tuesday, March 24, 1931 at the Lutheran Hospital at Hampton, Iowa of complications of asthma, flu and pneumonia. At her death she was 41 yrs., 9 months and 9 days old. She moved to Sheffield, Iowa with her parents and family in 1895 and made her home on a farm 1 1/2 miles west of Sheffield. She was graduated from the Sheffield High School before moving with her parents to Hampton in 1905. Previous to her marriage, she taught in the rural schools of the county. At her death, she left 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Albert Krusemark of Clayton, MN; Mrs. John Oje, Casper, WY; Mrs. Fred Meier, Worthington, MN; Mrs. Will Held, Hansell, Iowa; George Krusemark, Pomona, CA; and L.R. Krusemark of Hampton, Iowa. Rose was buried 27 March, 1931 at the Hillside Cemetery, Sheffield, Iowa next to James. Hope this helps you and it is a match." [email protected] |
