"Died--At her residence, near Pattersonville, in the Parish of St. Mary, MADAME ROSALIE THERIOT, in the 67th year of her age. ...She had been severely tried on the furnace of affliction. She had seen her husband sicken and die. She had closed the eyes of several of her children... Her illness was long and painful... Should this meet the eye of the absent son [Edouard], he may have the consolation of knowing ...he was remembered: she thought of him...believing this climate uncongenial to his health."
