Obituary

Mrs. Rosa Ellen Edwards Rosa Ellen Edwards was born April 22, 1867, near Hamilton and passed away May 18, 1949, at Cowgill. She was united in marriage to William Thompson December 21, 1898 at Cowgill. To this union were born three children. She was preceded in death by her husband who died at Cowgill, March 21, 1926, and a son Robert William, who died January 23, 1935. She was baptized into the Church of Christ at Pleasant Ridge congregation as a young lady and was faithful to her Savior till death. She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Ozella Basham and Miss Lee Emma Thompson, both of Cowgill, one half sister, Polly Edwards of Arizona, one sister, Mrs. Anna Edwards of Excelsior Springs, two grandchildren and one great grandchild and also many friends and relatives mourn her passing. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Church of Christ, conducted by Rev. Kenneth Van Dusen of Kansas City and under the direction of the Clark Funeral Service, Cowgill. Burial was in the Cowgill cemetery.
