    "ROSE MCMANUS TAKEN BY DEATH
    Mrs. Rose McManus died Tuesday evening at her home 108 Rose street, following a long illness. she was born April 5th 1872 at Cadillac. Her parents died in infancy and she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. William Beitner of Leelanau. in 1888 she was married to Francis Edward Helferich of Peninsula. three children were born to this union, Mrs. Lulu Dohm of Muskegon, Mrs. Edna Zang and Vivian H. Helferich of this city. Mr. Helferich died in 1915 and in 1917 she was married to John McManus of the Peninsula the couple moving to this city in 1930. Mr. McManus passed away a week ago today. Left to mourn their loss besides the son and daughter are 14 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at ten o'clock at Grace Episcopal church of which Mrs. McManus has been a member for 30 years. The Rev. Louis Basso will read the service and burial will be made in the family lot in the Ogdensburg cemetery.
