Mr. Scarburry was born Nov 15, 1931 in Portland. He served in the U S Army during the Korean War. He was a welder for the city of Portland and retired earlier this year. He married Joan Guttenberg; she died in 1994.

Survivors include his sister, Dorothy Weaver of LaPuente, Calif.

Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
