Rollie was a Navy fighter pilot in WW2 (he told me that was in Europe and he saw no action); eventually earned rank of Lt. Commander. Retired insurance sales. 1426 - 17th St. West Des Moines, IA 50265. Pho. (515) 225-2628. I always greatly admired and valued the friendship of Rollins and wife Eleanor. He was graduated from Des Moines East High School and attended Iowa State College. Owned and operated the Alexander-Sort Insurance Co. , retiring in 1986. Member of Des Moines Pioneer Club and West Gate Adelphic Masonic Lodge. Survived by wife, children, and sister.
