Obituary from Bloomsburg Press Enterprise, Friday, July 18, 2003:

Rolland L. Fetterman (Rollie), 83, of 1028 Eighth Ave., Berwick died 4:42 pm, Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at the Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he had been a patient since June 17. Born in Berwick December 19, 1919, he was a son of the late Israel and Catherine (Naugle) Fetterman.

Mr. Fetterman served in the Army during World War II, from 1939 to 1945. He received the American Theater Ribbon, the American Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Star, and the Good Conduct Ribbon.

Mr. Fetterman worked in silk mills until his service in the war. He later worked at the former Berwick Weaving and National Select, and retired from the former Berwick Forge and Fabricating.

He was a social member of the Slavonic Club and Ranger Hose Co.

Mr. Fetterman enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and George Fetterman.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Sarah Evina; two children: Michael Fetterman, Beach Haven; Sally Hess, Berwick; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 4 pm Saturday at Heller Funeral Home, Nescopeck, with the Rev. Gary Emrick, hospice chaplain, officiating.
