Held land in Sutcliffe Wood and in Southowram. Admn. 1598 to Grace, relict, and brother (Rev.) Henry Waddington 1577 of Burnston. Md. 1569 Grace Prystley (Priestley) at Halifax. Son of Thomas Waddington 1540 of Grindleton and Southowram. Had issue 6 sons: 1- John Waddington 1, abt 1577 Halifax, bd there 1579.

On the same day and year the said dean certified that he had committed the administration of the goods which had belonged to Roger Waddington formerly of Hipperholme of the diocese of York, deceased, to Grace Waddington the relict of the said deceased, and Henry Waddington brother of the same, they being first sworn, etc. saving etc. The Inventory was exhibited.
