    Roger Paul McBride, 90, of Fruitland Park, . was born in Springfield, MA, passed away on February 1, 2014. Mr. McBride was a Lt. Colonel in the US Army and retired after 30 years of honorable service, from Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. He moved to Fruiland Park in 1982, where he enjoyed sprnding time playing golf and fishing in the nearby lakes.

    Mr. McBride is survived by his wife of 69 years, Vernia McBride, sons, Richard McBride and Robert McBride both of California and a sister Joyce Alber, Stratford, Ct. He was preceded in death by a son William McBride.

    Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2014 from 10:30 to 11:00am at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel with the service to follow at 11:00 am with Deacon Bryon Otradovec officiating. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with Lake County War Veteran Honor Guard.
