From an email sent by Stephanie Brakey - 8 Sep 04 Roger was in the Revolutionary war and fought with Col. Edward Musgrove in the Battle of Musgrove Hill. He also fought with Major James Dillars and Col Wm Byrd. He was a private soldier. He was in for 7 years, fighting for the militia and caring for sick soldiers. This is documented in "Steele Entries to Indents Issued in Payment of Claims against S.C. Grown out of the Revolution" Vol R-7 pg 168 Secs 394,395 Book S. This shows pay checks to Roger Brown.
