Robin L. Smolek, 15-year-old daughter of Rex and Kay Staton Smolek of 3213 Raven St, died at University Hospital Friday afternoon after a one-year illness.

Memorial services will be held at 3pm. Monday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Memorial denotions may be made to the Robin Smolek Memorial Fund. The George L. Gay Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Miss Smolek was born November 24, 1958, in Lafeyette, IN. The family then moved to Munster, IN in 1961, and to Iowa City in 1969. She attended South East Junior High School and was a sophomore at City High School.

She is survived by her parents; two sisters, Michelle and Sandy, a brother Chad all at home; her grandmothers, Mrs Lucille Staton of Kimmel, IN and Mrs. Marjorie Peffer of Ligonier, IN and her great-grandmothers, Mrs. Velma Herron and Mrs Agnes Stansbury, both of Churubusco, IN.
