Robert C Ziebold, 84, a lifelong resident of Fremont, formerly of 1501 Ros ewood, died Friday at Fremont Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Fremont to the now-deceased Frank A and Rosa M (Dickman) Zi ebold. On Nov. 15, 1941, he married Ellen N Miller at St. Joseph Cathol ic Church and she died Sept. 27, 1999, after 58 years of marriage.

Bob was a 1937 graduate of St. Joseph High School and was in sales mo st of his life. He retired from the Croghan Colonial Bank. Robert was a me mber of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a volunteer at Sacred Heart School a nd was involved in lay ministry. He was an avid volunteer at Share & Ca re and a third and fourth degree Knight of Columbus. For many years he a nd his wife Ellen were foster parents, bringing many children into their h earts and home.

Bob is survived by daughters Rosanne (Jeffrey) Fyffle of Dayton, Patric ia (Joseph) Gladieux of Lambertville MI., and Joan (James) Gillis of Frem ont; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren also survive. In additi on to his parents and wife, he is preceded by his only brother Joseph F Zi ebold, who died Feb. 22 of this year, and a great-granddaughter.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Keller-Ochs-Koch Funer al Home, 416 S Arch St.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sacred Heart Cathol ic Church, 550 Smith Rd, with the Rev. Mark Herzog officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials: To Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to Hospice of Memorial Hospi tal.
