Robert was the son of Henry and Lydia Ross Young. He married Lydia Gould January 30, 1794. They were the parents of Pascal Paolia, Simeon, Alle L., Anson, Gilbert Gould, Festus, Loyal, Louisa, Mehitable Sophronia and Freeman Fairfield.
