1688, October 25 - a patent issued to Mr. Robert Yard and Mr. John Waters for 900 acres on the south side of the Rappahannock River, which had been formerly granted to Epaphroditus Lawson, had become the property of Robert Paine as marrying Lawson's daughter, and had been deserted by Paine.
