Surviving twin. Brother was stillborn. World War I Draft Registration Card says he was of medium height and build with brown eyes and black hair. In Exeter, NH at 1920 census. Living at 137 Avon Road in Watertown at 1930 census, renting for $60/month. Listed in 1944 Belmont Directory living at 31 Statler Road. "Robert B. Wardwell Lorain-Robert B, Wardwell, 76, Natick, Mass., died yesterday at 7:45 p.m. in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of 11 days. He had been visiting his son, Lawrence E. Wardwell, 2311 "G" St. for the past two months. Mr. Wardwell, a retired employee in the food business was a native of Swampscott, Mass. His wife, Myrtle died in 1954. Survivors are two sons, Lawrence, Lorain and Robert B., Boxboro, Mass., two daughters, Mrs. Carlene Mayo, Watertown, Mass., and Mrs. Margaret (sic) Keany, Natick, Mass., 12 grandchildren and two sisters, Miss Barbara Wardwell and Mrs. Marian Dantzler, both of Henniker, N.H. The body will be sent late this evening from the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home to the Gibbs Memorial Funeral Home in Wayland, Mass. for services and burial." -Chronicle Telegram, Elyria, Ohio 12 January 1960. References
