Source:Hotten, John Camden. Original Lists of Persons of Quality (1874), p. 46: passenger list of Hopewell, 3 Apr 1635, includes "Husbandman ROBERT TITUS of St. Katherins, 35", "uxor [wife] HANNA TITUS, 31", "JO: TITUS, 8", and "EDMOND, 5". From Source:New England Historical and Genealogical Register, p. 132:23: "No parish with a church dedicated to St. Katherine, however spelled, is remotely near the vicinity of Stanstead Abbots." There is, however, such a parish in London, but an occupation of husbandman is seemingly at odds with this location. This particular article suggests their origins are indeterminate and unknown.

The will of Hannah Titus, widow of Robert, was dated 14 May 1672, administration granted to her son Content 24 Mar 1678/79. [Writing a will implies that her husband died before the date of her will, or else he would have had control of all the property].

  2.   According to "The Titus Family in America" by Rev. Anson Titus, Jr., "Hanna Titus" made her will 14 May 1672, which suggests her husband had died previous to this date, and indeed, the article describes it as "will of Hannah Titus, widow of Robert". Thus the death date given here "24 NOV 1678" is questionable.
