These are the sons of Robert Walter Smith, son of Green Lafayette Smith. Have more to send, sorry about not getting a disk to you. My computer had been on the fritz and ended up needing a new hard drive. Spent 3 days in Austin at the archives and land office and have several letters as well as all the surveys of land etc. Everything has been notorized for the DRT.

On 17 Mar 1897 Robert Walter SMITH married my gg aunt Nettie JOHNSON in Navarro County, TX. [Another record has them married in Stephen's County, Texas] Robert was born 13 Dec 1871 in Coryell County, TX. He died 28 Nov 1965 in Eastland County, Texas and is buried in the Eastland Cemetery.

Robert Walter SMITH was the son of Green Lafayette SMITH and Eliza Mariah KARNES. Green was a Circuit Rider Preacher, born 5 Feb 1841 in Nacogdoches County, Texas, married 28 Mar 1866 in Coryell County, Texas and died 29 Jan 1886 in Stephens County, Texas.

Robert Walter SMITHs grandparents were Henry Madison SMITH and Sarah Susannah HALL. Henry was born in SC about 1818. He married 9 Jan 1840 in Nacogdoches County, TX and died in Coryell County, TX. Some researchers say he died 9 Dec 1882 but I have also read that he died about 1877.
