    Robert E. Seele, 74, rural Maple Hill, died Wednesday, January 24, 1996, at a St. Marys nursing home.
    Mr. Seele farmed near Maple Hill.

    He was born December 8, 1921, at Maple Hill, the son of Robert and Augusta Brase Seele. He was a life-long resident of the Maple Hill area.

    He was married to Edith N. Plackett in October 1963. She died March 1, 1990.
    No immediate family members survive.

    Services were held Saturday at the Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys with burial at Greenwood Cemetery in the Kaw Township south of Belvue. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and sent in care of the funeral home.
