    Edith N. Seele, 75, Maple Hill, died Thursday, March 1, 1990, at a Topeka hospital.
    Mrs. Seele retired in 1987 from the Kansas department of Revenue.

    She was born December 3, 1914 in Peabody, the daughter of Obed and Florence Spangler Firestone.

    Mrs. Seele was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Belvue, senior citizen groups in Paxico and Maple Hill, and Clarice Chapter No. 390 of the Order of Eastern Star in Wakarusa.

    Her first husband, Clyde C. Plackett, died August 14, 1956. She was married to Robert E. Seele October 19, 1963, in Topeka. he survives.
    Other survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Runyan, Topeka; a son, Gary Plackett, Kansas City; a sister, Ruth Bochnlein, Hayward, Calif.; a brother, Herbert Firestone, Kansas City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    Services were 1:30 p.m. Monday in Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Cemetery in Belvue.
