Seeking ancestry of Robert Rankin, b. 1792 in Guilford Co., NC, lived in Milan (Gibson Co., TN) and Pope Co. Arkansas. Died 1845 in Appleton, Pope Co., AR. Wife was Isabel Rankin (1791-1861), d/o Robert Rankin & Mary Cusick of Guilford Co., NC. I descend from Robert & Isabel through their son Reuben Burr Rankin (1834-1909), b. in Milan, TN, d. in Ozark, AR. (There is a possibility of another Robert Rankin also living in Milan, TN, in the 1830s - 1850s.) I also descend from Isabel's brother George Rankin and wife Ann McMurray through their son Robert (1803TN - 1863AR).
