Note written by Robert to Oscar Burton Robbins, pg 126: "I was born and reared in Iron County, Wisconsin, attended Hurley schools and immediately after was employed as Printer's devil by the Iron County News, a weekly newspaper including commercial Job Printing. Worked there 20 years before moving to Fairfield, California to be employed by Salano Republican, a semi-weekly newspaper, that always [also?] does commercial Job Printing and am Assistant Foreman.

"Hobbies are hunting, fishing, bowling and fly-tieing. Love to travel and see new country, especially in states where hunting and fishing are listed as excellent. Love dancing and card games (friendly ones) with friends. Enjoy picnics and outings at lakes and streams. I hope some day to own my own weekly newspaper and job shop." Robert
