Robert McCANN, 7 year old s/o William J. McCANN, living at 15 Breed'd Place, Lynn, Mass., in attempting to cross the Boston & Maine Railroad tracks in front of the Central depot last eve. was struck by the 6 o'clock passenger train and instantly killed. He was accompanied by his little sister, a child of 5 and, unconscious of the approach of the train, attempted to cross the track. The spectators, seeing the danger, shouted to them. This attracted the attention of the boy who, quicker than a flash, pushed his sister off the track. He then stood as if stupified and the next moment was struck by the engine and huried into the air above the smokestack and engine and landed 75 feet away. He was struck in the head at the base of the brain - Boston 'Herald', 8th. - The little lad was a grandson of Robert STORR. His father and mother were both at one time residents of St. Andrews.
