RETIRED FARMER PASSES AWAY

Robert Marshman, retired farmer died at an early hour this morning at h is home in Amsden. Cancer of the stomach caused his death following a seve re illness of fourteen weeks.

The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Marshman and was born at Nap oleon OH May 9, 1839. His age at death was 86 years; 2 months and 9 day s. He had resided at Amsden for the past 23 years.

Mr. Marshman was united in marriage to Mary Shultz at Amsden December 2 5, 1859. To this union four daughters and one son were born, the son prece ding his father in death. The daughters are Mrs. Richard Copsy; Mrs. Samu el Reader; Mrs. Sherman Harding; and Mrs. Wm Dyer all of Amsden. Mrs. Mars hman died nine years ago. Other survivors are eight grandchildren and elev en great grand children. The deceased was a member of the M E Church at Am sden. Funeral services will be held at the church Monday at ten a.m, condu cted by the Rev. V Hainen of Bettsville. Burial in Trinity Cemetery.
