When Robert was a child he performed in a school play as a rabbit. The family began to call him Bunny and the name stuck. I always knew him as Uncle Bunny.

- ↑ ROBERT JOHN LORIMER "BUNNY" Age 80, passed away May 7, 2007. Born in San Bernardino, CA, July 23, 1926, was a residence of Calimesa for the last 10 years. Raised in Needles and graduated from Needles High School, and then went to work for Needles Police Department and retired as Captain of San Bernardino County Sheriff of 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Wanda of 54 years; a son, Dennis Lorimer, wife Becky; daughters, Patricia McCoy and husband, Guy and Cathline Lorimer; grandson, Neal Kennedy; 5 sisters, Helen Wilson, Pauline Lorimer, Barbara Jo Robertson, Gabrial Pate, Lynn McCowen; and many nephews, niece and friends. Preceded him in death, brother, James Walter and wife, Norma Jean Lorimer. Services were private. He will be missed by all.
