- ↑ "2 Killed in East Side Crash-A three-car crash on East Broad Street nearthe outerbelt construction site killed two persons and injured threeothers at midnight Wednesday, Columbus police said. Dead are Mrs. DianaL. Moore, 26, of 3330 Meridian Road, and the passenger in her eastboundcar, Robert F. Krumm, 25, of 1283 Dellwood Road. Patrolman FrancisMumper said Mrs. Moore's automobile apparently went out of control atthe last curve of a runaround at the outerbelt site and went left ofcenter. The car apparently was struck broadside by a car driven byJames P. Diendl, 30, who was accompanied by his wife, Mary, 22, of 3113Ruhl Avenue. The death car then slammed head-on into a westbound car inthe curb lane driven by Charles Cole, 22, of 31A Napoleon Avenue, policesaid. Mrs. Moore and Krumm were taken to the Franklin County Morgue atUniversity hospital. Cole was treated at Mount Carmel East hospital.Diendl was listed in fair condition, and his wife, undergoing surgeryThursday morning, was tentatively listed in fair condition, at MountCarmel East hospital. Mrs. Moore's husband, Donald E. Moore, 29, of2670 East 5th Avenue was sentenced Wednesday to three days in jail andfined $100 on a drunken driving conviction, a Ross County sheriff'sdeputy reported. Police said Mrs. Moore's children were staying withher sister, Mrs. Barbara Hall, who resides at the Meridian Road address"

Mr. Krumm died from injuriesreceived in an auto accident yesterday. He was born March 7, 1947, inColumbus to Mrs. Georgana Huber and the late Harry E. Krumm. He wasemployed as a mechanic at Len Immke Buick Inc., Columbus. Surviving arehis stepparents: Mr. And Mrs. Ralph Huber, 1283 Dellwood Ave., Columbus;four brothers; Harry of Whitehall, David of Daily City, Calif., Danielof Columbus and Michael of the Marine Corps., stationed in 29 Palms,Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Doris Fry of Whitehall, a stepbrother, ThomasHuber of Columbus, two stepsisters: LuAnn Johnson of Columbus and Mrs.Linda Godwin of Zanesville; and step-grandparents: Mr. And Mrs. HenryHuber of Outville. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 2 to 4and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday."
