Robert Knight was born 1614;[3] and died Oct 28, 1691 in Marblehead, Essex, Massachusetts.[4] He married Mary[5] who was born before 1625[6] and died after 21 Sep 1682 when she was mentioned in an accounting of the estate of her oldest son, Charles Knight of Manchester.[7] She was mother of all his children.[8][9][10] Robert Knight arrived in New England on May 1638 on the Bevis as servant to Richard Austen of Bishopstoke, Hants at the same time as John Knight, carpenter servant to Mrs. Agnes Littlefield.[10][11] Therefore it is possible he came from Bishopstoke as well.
