~Church: Was charter member of Delaney Street Baptist Church. Served in almost every role of church - chairman of deacons, Sunday School Supt., teacher, etc. Met Betty Stalder there at BYU meeting when she was 15. Married there and remained active until death.

~Occupation: Began working as child, delivering newspapers, to add income to family after death of father. After high school, worked for Cahoon Machinery - installing wells and irrigation for citrus groves. Hired by Columbia Labs for temporary position about 1940, designing equipment. During war years, this was taken over by the Navy, working on sonar and underwater sound equipment. This became the UN Navy Underwater Sound Lab on Lake Gem Mary in S. Orlando. He continued to work there until his retirement in 1971.

~Education: Finished high school and took many college level courses in night school, but did not complete a degree. (When he retired, the lab hired two dotorate physicists to replace him).
