Coon Rapids Ent, 3 Apr 2003, reported that private services were held for Robert Kepple, 29 Mar 2003, with Pastor Bob Rogers officiating at the Ohde Funeral Home in Bayard. Obit given, including: On December 21, 1942, Robert enlisted with the United States Coast Guard and served at California and Hawaii during World War II until receiving his honorable discharge on Oct 5, 1945. ... Robert was a grain inspector and the family lived in Des Moines until moving to McGregor in 1963. After Robert retired in 1991, he and Naomi moved to Bayard. For several years, Robert and Naomi wintered from Octover to April in Florida and in Texas. ... He is survived by his wife of 57 years Naomi Kepple of Bayard; daughter Joyce and husband Ron While of McGregor; nieces they raised: Linda Jones of Des Moines, and her children Tom and Tammy Jones; Jand and her husband Ron Rumph; and numerous relatives and friends.
